Maria Teresa Miriel has a large experience in the world of Art, having trained in many fields from fine arts, textile designs, to decorative paint effects such as patinas, marbling , murals and transformation of old or new furniture to match any requirements. She has studied and worked in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Florence, Paris and London, which has given her vast experience through decades. She now lives in Spain and works exclusively in Gibraltar with Denville Designs, transforming homes with special effect painting and supplying artwork on commission.

Decorative Paintings, Murals, Pillars and Room Dividers

Murals painted directly on the wall (or onto thin wooden panels) can transform a whole plain wall, giving it perspective and interest. By painting directly onto thin wooden panels a client is able to remove the painting if needed.

Headboards, Wardrobes And Bedroom Furniture

Ordinary pieces of house hold furniture (new or old) can be transformed into something special and we cater to any client specification. The examples below show how anything from bedside tables, bed heads, armchairs etc can be personalized.

Doors

Some plain doors could be decorated and aged  beautifully, and wardrobes could be turned into something special.

Children's Furniture

Childrens furniture can be  painted and decorated to match a chosen wall paper, or  fabrics, for example .

Kitchens, Bathrooms and Fireplaces

Below is one of our kitchen projects. Initially it was a shiny, dark grey coloured, but very gloomy kitchen that did not match the theme a Denville Decorator had chosen for the penthouse decoration.
We repainted the kitchen to a beautiful Nile green colour effect, with different layers of green, and (by giving it a slightly aged effect) it was a very successful project thus saving the client the cost of a whole new kitchen.

Marbling is also an effect we can achieve. Some plain white pillars and fireplaces made of plaster or cement, can be transformed into marble and create a stunning effect, which is totally realistic, and very effective. It gives ordinary objects interest, blending perfectly with the rest of the decor.
